Manor Farm Barn and The Granary at Moat Farm are owned and run by Gerald and Janet Edgecombe.
Born and raised in the Suffolk area, Gerald and Janet moved to Moat Farm in 1974, a few years after they married and have lived there ever since.
During their time at Moat Farm they have raised three children and ran a livestock farm until, in the 1990’s they decided to diversify the business and convert some of the buildings into holiday accommodation.
Both Manor Farm and Moat Farm have been owned and farmed by Janet’s family for several generations. We hope that the sense of love and pride we have for their rich farming heritage makes your stay at them a little more special. We also hope that you create some lasting memories, as we have, when you visit them.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family and friends at either of our properties and we hope you have a pleasant stay.
Manor Farm Barn was originally built in the early 1700s. It’s renovation into holiday accommodation began in the late 1990’s. As a grade II listed building the utmost care was taken during its renovation to keep as much of the original features as possible intact including the raftered ceiling and beams that you see today.
The next renovation we undertook was The Granary at Moat Farm. Originally a grain store in the early 19th century, The Granary was made up of three partitioned areas that housed grain and agricultural equipment; the trusty horse and cart in its early days up to the more modern tools before its conversion. In 2001 the decision was made to renovate the building into two B&B rooms and then later in 2010 those two rooms were then converted into a one bed self-catering property.
